About me...
Hi! I'm Amy.
I’d love to share yoga with you. Growing up as a runner and soccer player, I dabbled in yoga for a long time but never felt like it was “enough” of a workout for me - until I discovered vinyasa yoga and it was game over. Still working a corporate job, I spent years of rushing to get to yoga class until I took the leap to get my yoga teacher certification in 2010 and eventually made it my full-time job. Now I get to share my love of the practice every day.
I’m a lululemon legacy ambassador and a Propel/Gatorade partner. My yoga classes have been featured in publications like Shape, US Weekly and The Wall Street Journal. I have taught on mountains and islands and rooftops and cruise ships and paddleboards.
In my almost 15 years of teaching, I have introduced yoga to inner city kids and police officers and high profile CEO's and everyone in between. I've led large-scale events for lululemon, Nike, WeWork, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Summit Series and more. I even spent a year hosting a yoga talk show. I co-founded Tropical Vinyasa, a popular vinyasa yoga studio in the Sunset Harbour neighborhood Miami Beach where we shared the love of community and the yoga practice daily.
I currently live and teach in my hometown of Belleair, Florida where my husband and I are raising our two young children. My classes are strong, fun and music-driven, with creative and intelligent sequencing.
I’m grateful to my many teachers - Paul Toliuszis, Eoin Finn, Baron Baptiste, Kathryn Budig and many more - for informing my classes and inspiring me.
I teach daily group, corporate, in person and virtual private clients, and I lead yoga teacher trainings and international retreats. I also offer 1:1 coaching for rising yoga teachers. I believe we all have a light inside of us, my goal is to help us to shine it more brightly.
xo Amy
TESTIMONIALS
My husband and I have been practicing yoga privately with Amy for over six years. We are in our mid 60’s and she has tailored our practice specifically for our age and abilities. We have a great rapport with Amy, and think that she is wonderful at what she does. We love her! She is absolutely terrific. - Susan
It's hard to put into words what Amy has meant to me as my yoga teacher. What she teaches goes far beyond what happens on the mat. As a working professional and a competitive amateur triathlete, mentally, her class and teachings have grounded me in a way that I have never experienced before. Physically, I can feel the difference in my training when I haven't been to her class. When life gets a little too crazy, I can hear her voice reminding me to "flow like water." - Marianne
“We are grateful to have found Amy. We are amazed at her knowledge of the physical body condition. Amy has worked with my pregnant daughter as well as my husband and me in a way that addresses our different needs. She is very mindful and a great listener. A wonderful spirit. I have chronic knee pain and she is working on building my strength and stamina in preparation for knee replacement surgery. I have become confident and attained the strength to go forward with the surgery.” - Jill
